Your article in todays Wigan Evening Post 28/08/2012 "Wigan the worst for Carless ?" clearly highlights the need for cheaper public transport throughout Greater Manchester. The extortionate prices fee paying customers have to pay in this region is unnacceptable. The Leader of our party Peter Franzen when he was a member of the former Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Authority (GMPTA) called for public transport in this region to be free at the point of delivery. Your article clearly illustrates the need for radical thinking to encourage the use of public transport over the increasing use of cars.
