Letter to the Salford Advertiser

Dear Editor,
Your article dated Thursday 24th May "Store Plans for Burial Site Back in Spotlight" states and I quote "The panel is scheduled to reconsider the application on Thursday June 14th, although it cannot decide on the future of the burial ground" in relation to the proposed Asda store for Swinton.
The Community Action Party is opposed to the removal of 313 Swintonians from their final resting place. The former Swinton Unitarian Burial Ground had a covenant which protected it which was lifted by the church in exchange for a payment of £125,000 which has so far not been publicised. The land is currently a burial ground and is public open space. All Salford Councillors must act in a quasi-judicial manner. We are now urging all surviving relatives to seek immediate independant legal advice with a view to seeking a judicial review of the decision if it is found in favour without full and proper due process.

Hi Michael. Why have previous comments been removed?
Someone commented a couple of weeks ago challenging you campaign against the radio and the local social landlord, but this has since been deleted.
In the spirit of open and transparent democracy, should these comments not be responded to and left available for others to view?

Pretty sure you would object to your comments being deleted from facebook and the like.

Can you comment?
They were deleted Ken because the comment was sarcastic and not constructive.
