Letter to Salford Advertiser

Published on by mikemouldingcommunity-action

Dear Editor (Salford Advertiser)

Thousands of people that live in Salford currently receive Disability Living Allowance (DLA) to help with their daily needs because they either live with a disability and/or long-term and/or life-long illness. From 2013 central government is to abolish DLA and replace it with a new system of Personal Independence Payments where everyone in our city will be reassessed by the controversial company ATOS. DLA has been responsible for transforming the lives of hundreds of thousands of people all over the UK. Many believe the new system is being introduced by the ConDems to ensure many who receive help now will either lose this help or have it reduced. Please sign our petition to oppose the abolition on DLA on HM Government epetition website link - http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/38182 (Stop the Abolition of Disability Living Allowance for Personal Independence Payments) to help us force Parliament to relook at the matter.

Yours Sincerely
