The Community Action Party candidate for Salford mayor Michael Moulding confirms that if elected he will order an immediate review of the Chapel St FIASCO !

Many Salfordians have the daily nightmare of travelling through the Chapel St FIASCO which because of recent alleged improvements people are caught up in serious congestion, longer times to get to work and further delay's.

Salford Labour led by their Swinton North Councillor imposed this nightmare on Salfordians proclaiming the changes were needed to make Chapel Street a town centre highway again. However, motorists and even public transport users face the daily nightmares of delays and congestion which has been made worse by the narrowing of the lanes to single lane traffic.

Michael Moulding (pictured right) has given a commitment if elected that the Chapel St FIASCO and all traffic flows up and beyond the East Lancs will be reviewed to ensure that motorists and others are able to travel to work more quickly but in safety.

Mike says "This has been an issue for many Salfordians and I have given a commitment if elected this shambles will be looked at again to aid a speedier but safer journey for those that have to get to work." END
